REEVES CEMETERY – Lascassas Quadrangle.  NE on Lascassas Pike (Hwy 96), right on Compton Road, left (N) on Vincion Road 1 mile.  ½ W of Brown’s Mill on S side of Stones River.  2 graves marked by rocks stacked over them are Chapman Reeves and his wife who came here from Wilson County, TN and purchased 415 acres from James Gordon which was a part of a 3,840 acre NC land grant given to Capt Munford for his service during the Revolution.

This is the deed for the 415 acres James Chapman Reeves (1795-1856) purchased when he and Rebecca Pinkston Reeves (1805-1888) came to Rutherford County, TN in 1819.
