Mr. Goldstein had a different style of selling.
Local oral history tells us Mr. Goldstein came to Murfreesboro peddling his wares from a pack he carried on his back. Eventually,
he owned a fine ladies ready-to-wear on The Square with his brother Bernard Goldstein. David was a suave
handsome man of more than medium height. He would have appeared distinguished on New York's Fifth Avenue which
he visited on their frequent buying trips. Around 1965 the Huddleston family purchased this house.
